Accepting Orders

When you place an order we will treat it as an offer to buy. However, we will be entitled to refuse to accept your order if we feel it necessary, in which case we will e-mail you as soon as we can to let you know. If we decline your offer on security grounds we may contact you to seek an alternative payment method.



All prices are inclusive of UK VAT at the prevalent rate of 17.5% and do not include delivery charges. You may pay by any major credit or debit card. We are under no obligation to accept your order. Prices, offers and products are subject to availability and may change at any time prior to acceptance of your order.

Delivery Promises:

For orders received by 2:00pm (Mon - Fri) and are in stock , we normally despatch that day, however if we are experiencing high order volumes, this may take up to 48hrs.. If an order is urgent, please call us and we will probably be able to despatch the item faster.


The delivery charge paid is for standard "Next Working Day" delivery once the item leaves us, unfortunately courier errors do occasionally happen and this is not a guaranteed 24hr service.  We do not refund for delivery charges in these circumstances.

If an item is out of stock we will notify you by Email and get hold of it as quickly as possible, and when back in stock we will send it to you immediately.

Export Delivery charges quoted are only intended as a guide. We reserve the right to modify charges should they be significantly different from those quoted, although we will always inform you should this be necessary. 

If the delivery charges are likely to be significantly different to those estimated on our site we will contact you, with the option of paying the exact charges or cancelling/modifying your order.


Product Availability:

Our web site is updated daily, to ensure that we provide accurate details on product availability. However, we cannot guarantee availability. Orders placed outside our opening hours (9.30 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. UK time Weekdays) may be subject to change. We will contact you as soon as possible if this is the case.

If you place an especially high-value order we reserve the right to contact you for further confirmation of your order details, prior to authorisation.

Returns Policy:

Should you be dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it within 7 working days of receipt, for a refund or exchange;


  • Where products have obviously been used and are non-faulty, i.e. Bags with personal items left in them, no refund will be given.

  • Postage and Packaging will not be refunded unless the goods are faulty. You are responsible for the goods until they have been received by ourselves.

  • Where an item is not accepted for refund, the customer will be responsible for the cost of return to them at our standard rates.

This does not affect your statutory rights.


Problems with Consumables (such as bulbs) must be reported within 7 working days of receipt.


Non Faulty Items accepted for return outside of this period are subject to a 15% restocking fee to cover administration and Credit card charges. No items will be accepted for return after 21 working days.


We will only refund the return cost of items (up to a max of £9.99) if they prove to be faulty when tested by our technicians.


Items that develop a fault after 14 working days will be covered by their individual manufacturers warranty.


A Returns Number (RMA No) must accompany all returns together with the customers contact details including a telephone number. An RMA No may be obtained by phoning the Sales Helpline on 01915679308

We are not liable for loss of profits, loss of business or any other consequential, special or indirect loss arising out of the use or late delivery of any product purchased from Charles Eagles and Son.  If your order is urgent, please call us to confirm delivery availability.


Our UK courier normally delivers on a next "working day basis" or on a 2 working day basis for remote parts of the UK, whilst this is true for the vast majority of cases, occasionally they (like everybody else) suffer problems such as delivery drivers off sick, equipment failure at the hub etc.  Courier charges are not refundable in these cases nor is any liability accepted for any situation arising from late delivery.



None of the information given to us by our customers is given out to any external company.Orders over 30 days old are archived and that information is not held available for anyone except the accounts dept, VAT & Tax officers.

Errors and Omissions:
