Durham Photographic Society, unlike many similar societies we meet almost all year round- closing only in August. As usual the Society offers a wide range of events for the year. These include presentations by guest speakers and our own members, visiting exhibitions, competitions and tuition. Our membership continues to increase. We welcome anyone interested in photography to our Society. It is home to a wide range of photographic tastes and interests. Why not join us to further your photographic experience and to enjoy the companionship of friendly, like-minded fellow photographers? MORE

Hello, and welcome to the
hartlepool club logo
The site has just gone through a bit of a spring-clean, so content is a bit thin on the ground, at the moment. But that will be changing over the next few days. The Calendar will be fully up-to-date within the next 24hours. And I'm hoping to add some News articles to keep you reading! Don't forget to visit our Galleries. They are as stuffed full of goodies now as they were before the spring-clean bug got me!

We are a small, friendly group of people who share a passion for photography, some of whom are just starting and some who have been taking photos for many years. Our aim is to allow members to ENJOY the hobby of photography without the pressures that can be involved in a College course. The learning comes from listening to our visiting Lecturers and Judges and also by asking the questions that are applicable to YOUR problems. We take great pride in the friendliness the Club offers to any prospective new member and you can visit the club for free, for four weeks, before being asked if you wish to join. We meet EVERY Friday night (except Christmas & New Year) and the meetings start at 7.45pm prompt.
